Karam Kriya and 6, the number of the month

Welcome in June!

When I think of the qualities of June, two people come to mind:
My sister, who has her birthday in June (❤️✊🏼⚔️🙏🏼❤️)
– and Wonder Woman.

In preparation for this text, I have spared neither time nor effort to approach the subject in a profound and subtle way. I watched the films “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League”.
[Many people believe that Karam Kriya is a somewhat detached, intellectualised way of thinking until your head is spinning.
Well you can, but you don’t have to.… 😏]

So why Wonder Woman?

An archetypal quality of number 6 is that of the spiritual warrior as embodied by Wonder Woman.

Unlike the soldier who carries out orders, the spiritual warrior defends human values, or stands up for a value that has been lost, or that is a “must-have” in the pursuit of realising true human potential.
However, these values are not a personal moral compass that changes according to the environment, time or people involved. These values are universal, ethical standards that make the world a little better.

Morale comes automatically.
We learn it from our caregivers, at school, from our environment.
Values demand a conscious decision.
Here we sense the quality of the nearby number 4: the self-reflection coming from self-observation, necessarily by first turning inward.
This capacity for self-awareness, together with our conscience, allows us a free decision for change.

[We often wish for change, but rarely we do jump up in joy when change knocks on our door:
We often wait until external circumstances force us. Acting voluntarily and proactively means that we have woken up. We then clearly see the difference between what we are right now and what is inside us waiting to be manifested.]

Before any fight on the outside will come the fight on the inside, which solidifies the base of values. In exchange with others, the base consolidates into a firm, stable and reality-checked foundation: from the common singing around the campfire arises the bloodcurdling battle cry for the eternally true, good, beautiful.

I used to want to save the world. To end war and bring peace to mankind.
But then I glimpsed the darkness that lives within their light and learned that inside every one of them, there will always be both.
A choice each must make for themselves. Something no hero will ever defeat.

And now I know, that only love can truly save the world.
So I stay, I fight, and I give; for the world I know can be.
This is my mission now. Forever.

A spiritual warrior is not to be confused with the prince on the white horse who rides out to free or save the lovely maiden. A spiritual warrior is aware that it is our choices defining who we are; far more than our abilities.

She also fights for those of us where her opponents say they are not worthy of. She has made her decision and nothing and nobody can stop her from her way.

Number 6 is also associated with silence, prayer, grace, gracefulness, elegance and strength.
In contemplation, in silence, we find the memory of our strength to stand up for universal values:

“And between my prayers, I made a vow that I would always be aware of my strength.“

The Number of the Month

is one of 5 numbers in the date of birth.

Like a tree, each number has a purpose:

The seed is like the DNA of the tree. The roots provide the tree with nutrition. The trunk and branches give shape and structure. The flower opens itself to life and the possibilities of the moment and the future. The fruit is the fulfilment of the natural cycle of life, the realisation of our totality with all the different aspects we carry within us.

Karam Kriya Consultations are not fortune-telling.
And also this text is nothing more than a rough approximation, describing basic qualities in the context of the characteristics of the 6th month.
Sometimes the term “karma number” is used for the month in the date of birth, which is a somewhat unfortunate shortening of the quadrant and often leads to a negative association – who wants to have karma…!

In general, the number of the month describes qualities that can create a karmic structure:

  • Constructs and constructions (both mental and physical, which in turn create the physical and mental space in which we live)
  • Strategies, schemes and structures
  • the vehicle that takes us from A to B on our journey
(whereas we are confronted here with the latent danger of over-identification with the vehicle, which makes us lose sight of the actual destination of our journey).
  • It can be like a decoration, a coat, or like a mask
(the outwardly presented personality; the self-image, the projection, the manifestation of the ego).

The number of the month gives form and structure, in which we like to settle in comfortably.
But this does not make “form & structure” per se something karmic.
It’s us being responsible: whether for comfortable settling in, or challenging alignment.

Number 6 as the number of the month

describes the challenge of accepting silence – yet without losing the voice for the battle cry, which is the prelude and introduction to action.
To act from silence is like being in the eye of the storm:
The storm can be loud and raging, but at its core is calmness, stillness and motionlessness.
The motionlessness is relaxed. It is not frozen rigidity as a result of insecurity and doubt. It is not an anxious silence.

Or, back to Wonder Woman:

You can’t live in fear.
You make things happen, or they will happen to you.

For, not against.

Ethical Values

The deep, valuable core beliefs are not shaken by the events of life. Fear does not find a hollow space to crawl into to take our beliefs ad absurdum:
The injustices of the world do not mean losing faith in justice!

If loss makes you doubt your belief in justice, then you never truly believed in justice at all.“

At this point we are invited to expand our worldly understanding of justice to include yogic understanding.
Action has consequences.
If we act from the silence of our heart, we follow the voice of our soul.

It is a fight for something, not against something.

And regardless whether for justice or another ethical value:
Just because ethical values are sometimes not fully embodied by those promoting them, it does not mean that suddenly it would be pointless to strive for their realisation.

Solidarity  – Acting for the benefit of all

Number 6 is only separated from 4 by the 5.
No fight is a fight for its own sake.
Our inner struggle tames our inner animal, which is driven by our survival instinct, omnipresent. Our outer fight is an altruistic standing up for the better for all.

Number 6 invites us to unsheathe our sword and go to battle:
Whether it is the inner fight for our personal, value-based and ethical success, or the outer one that brings us closer to the realisation of our humanistic potential in action.

We are not alone in this, as the oath of Wonder Woman, the Amazon, reminds us:

Sister in battle,
I am shield and blade to you.
As I breathe, your enemies will know no sanctuary.
While I live, your cause is mine.“

Sister/s and brothers,
in this spirit and from my heart I wish you a sharp sword for an inspiring June!

PS:

“We have a saying, my people. Don’t kill if you can wound, don’t wound if you can subdue, don’t subdue if you can pacify, and don’t raise your hand at all until you’ve first extended it.“
