In this workshop, we will explore dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins - the four hormones directly involved in our experience of happiness:
- Dopamine causes a feeling of satisfaction and happiness. It is involved in mood regulation.
- Serotonin is related to variations in personality and mood and is also associated with depression. Serotonin prevents depression and makes a person happy.
- Oxytocin is sometimes called the "love hormone" because it is released during social recognition, bonding, and affectionate physical touch/orgasm.
- Endorphins make us feel good, reduce pain and anxiety.
Happiness is a state of mind, dependent on the complex interaction of chemical substances in the brain. Their availability depends on the food we consume, what we think, physical activity and interaction with the environment.
Constant stress, poor diet, lack of exercise, wrong lifestyle, menopause and andropause are some of the main causes of loss of hormonal balance.
In this workshop you will learn how to activate your Happy Hormones and what small changes in your life will ensure that the happy hormones accompany you in the long term.
